Shooting HSI isn't much different from normal B&W film.  Some people keep the
slide partially in the holder to prevent IR radiation from entering while you
are shooting, but I've never found this necessary.

You will, however, want to wear gloves when loading the film into the slides. 
The oils on your fingers can leave permanent marks on the film that will be
visible on the negative.  You'll also find HSI more difficult to handle than
other films because of its insistance on curling, so the additional friction
with the use of latex gloves can be helpful.
