I've read more about the issue and downloaded a trial version of a
program called At Guard that deals with cookies and referrals.  I
think my father is wrong about referrals (which was my prime concern.)
They seem to be more about the things that track which sites you have
gone to besides the site in question rather than selling your email
address to the spam demons.

BTW my mother and father also thought your color infrared shots -
especially the desert - were incredible.
