Noted... (err... and I read that page too).

But handling film in the raw is no good. Correct?

Heat has absolutely nothing to do with it.  This is a common myth that is
addressed in "Rethinking Infrared Photography - Dispelling Myths by George
L
Smyth" on my Web page.  Additionally, my comments concerning the oils on
your
fingers only extend to HSI, the 4X5 variety.  The portion that you handle
in HIE
(35mm) will not be exposed via lens, so it's not an issue.
