The pinhole problem is a very common nasty item amongst the LIST
members. When I summarize all the answers given on this problem so far I
must say, that IMHO the right answer still has to come! Apart from minor
problems in the beginning( 2 years ago) I do not have any pinhole
problem anymore. As you can see on my homepage (URL in the footer of
this message) I treat HIE very carefully, do not inverse and agitate
minimal. Also presoaking the film prior to development is IMHO not
neccessary and could be the cause of the pinholes. I succesfully use
Kodak XTOL 1+1 at 68F and produce excellent negatives. Give it a trial?
If you suspect, that the water in your area is not very suitable you
could also try mineral water. Success!
