RE: Need EIR advice [about filters]

I'm back from the PPANJ annual convention, which fell on my birthday. I
was hoping to celebrate with a blue ribbon, but only got a red one. It was
a milestone, though, because I entered the first color infrared in the
history of the competition. It's posted on the Infrared Gallery and you
can view it directly by going to

Filters -- I used a Cokin yellow filter and polarizer for this image. Joe
Paduano has tested a number of filters with EIR and gave me this summary:
No.16 orange or No.12 yellow -- magenta vegetation and blue skies.
No.13 green -- magenta vegetation and clouds but a blue sky.
No.47 dark blue -- magenta sky, clouds and vegetation.
Magenta filter or No.25 red -- orange vegetation and blue/green skies
[NOTE: use a polarizer with all the above]
