Re: HIE prices & NJ
Hello! I'm coming out of lurk mode to post. I've only been on the
list a few weeks, and I am learning quite a lot, since I consider
myself a novice at IR photography.
As for HIE prices:
Adorama Camera has HIE for a decent price, at least compared to what
I pay around here (Columbus Ohio) - $8.99 per roll, and you can also
get 25 sheets of 4x5 for about $48. Konica is $5.50 per roll, and
the 120 is $5.95. This is all US currency, btw. Plus, you can
order online, which is nice, and the website is laid out in such
a way that it's relatively easy to search for information. The
URL is http://www.adoramacamera.com. I don't know if they are an
authorized Kodak dealer though.

Gene:
I am from New Jersey originally, and my family vacations at the Shore
every year. As a matter of fact, I shot my very first roll of IR in
Lavallette NJ, just a few miles from Seaside Heights. The boardwalk
at Seaside and the surrounding areas are great subjects, but I have
a bias because my best childhood memories are from there. Good luck
and have fun!
