Subject: Best IR places in Durham, NC and Minneapolis

Hello, everyone!

I would appreciate recommendations from people familiar with the following
places.  (Also, I want to shoot more IR, but I will be shooting color as well.)

I will be taking a business trip to the Raleigh-Durham area of NC in about two
weeks.  I will only have a few hours to get in some shooting so I need
suggestions as to the most photogenic locations to make the most of my time.
I found at least three promising Botanical gardens in the area - which is the
best?  Or are there other good subjects, eg. one of the universities in the
area.

I will also be at a conference in Minneapolis in early June.  I will probably
see some of the sites around the city with colleagues (esp. the Mall of
America) but is there any place in particular I should go?  I may even be able
to tack on a weekend at the end so are there recommended places farther
afield?  (I actually grew up in Chicago so I know how lovely the upper Great
Lakes area can get, although we never made it to Minnesota.)

Since these are primarily business trips, I have less flexibility and time to
explore.  Any guidance that makes the most of my time is greatly appreciated.
Many thanks.

Bertha

Bertha, Minneapolis in June a grreat for IR...it's green and lush and lots of lakes and parks with greenery. The Mpls. Scupture Garden at Walker Art Center is close to downtown, if that's where you meeting might be. But the Mall of America is well, a Mall.
My website happens to be a celebration of Minneapolis and St. Paul Parks. (This is the age of specialization, and you're just the person for whom I designed it.Check it out at http://www.spacestar.net/users/disyme.  Happy traveling. Diane Syme
