I am sure it works for you as their are quite a few other list members using
the same combinations as your self, however, it does not work for me. I dev
our HSI in stock solution Xtol for 12 mins. I have just tried a piece of
HIE exposed at 100/200/400/800 asa (with red filter) and just developed it
as per your times (180ml stock/180ml water), and they are all under
developed!
The edge numbers are just visible but still well under . I have not mixed
this Xtol with pure water, just filtered tap water, (which I guess most
people use). As I am looking at using this developer for my HIE I will try
and get a dev time for 1:1 Xtol, I am just going to try 13 Mins but it might
need a tad longer still. I am curious as to why their seems to be this much
difference, next time I mix up a small amount of Xtol I shall use pure water
and see what effect that has. Could you also perhaps let me know what
agitation you use, as this can effect the density quite a bit, but would be
surprised if it effected this much!
