My bio and some questions
- From: Henry Wagner <henryw@xxxxxxxxx>
- Subject: My bio and some questions
- Date: Mon, 26 Apr 1999 18:00:36 -0400 (EDT)
- Name: Henry Wagner
- Profession/Study: Software Engineer
- Country: USA
- Personal history of photography:
At this point I would call it a "serious hobby" (judging from the amount
of money I have been spending ;-)
- Preferred subjects: Landscape, wildlife, and rock concerts
- Materials (film, filters, paper, chemistry):
I don't have a particular preference on films. Just getting started with
IR.
- Format (35mm/medium format/large format):
35mm. Canon EOS Elan II and Minolta SRT-101. Assorted lenses and filters.
- Other strange hobbies:
Traveling the world to see U2 concerts (what turned me into a serious
hobby photographer). Star Wars fanatic.
- How did you find out about this list:
>From the Canon mailing list
- In case you already have your own IR-Gallery on the web, please
state the URL/address: (I will then also add your site to the overview of
IR-Galleries on my homepage!....think of the fame you can get....:-))
Lots of scanned photos, but nothing IR yet, at:

- Expand on anything photographic you like:
I'm just getting into IR photography. I played around with the Ilford SFX
extended red range film with mixed results. I picked up some Kodak B&W
HIE. Can anyone recommend what ASA to set my camera at (I heard anywhere
between 25 and 200) for landscape photography on a sunny day? Also, is a
regular red #25 filter good, or do I need an IR filter?
Thanks,
Henry Wagner
