I shoot HIE at EI 250, metered through a #25 filter.  Development is with
Xtol, which works very nicely with this film.  Remember, regardless of
anyone's advice (including my own), it is best to spend a little time
testing to see what the film will do for you.  It is a wonderful and
flexible film that offers many possibilities, so where you find your niche
is your best place to be.

A #25 filter is your basic starting point, and I wouldn't think about using
an infrared filter until you are comfortable with the #25 filter.
