Since the IR filter is opaque, you have to compose your shot without the
filter, then put the filter on before shooting.  In itself, this isn't
a problem.  But the problem is that you really should be using a tripod
to do this.  If I didn't hate carrying around my tripod, and setting it
up and taking it down, I would probably switch to an opaque filter.
