Well in terms of switching developers for a different look or feel to your
images I'd say you'll be underwhelmed. If Rodinal is working stick with it
and vary exposure, or filtration. This will give you a much more effective
means of controlling the image. Most modern developers all work pretty much
the same way. You'd have to move to a really exotic developing agent like
Pyro before seeing a marked difference in your negs.
Personally I use Rodinal for my standard developer, and Ilford Microphen on
the rare occaions I need to push process. Using anymore than two developers
starts to make life complicated!
