Bronica BTFR
I looked at my Bronica this morning. For the 135W back, I believe I will
mount my filter in the magazine housing under the 35mm film insert. It is
spring loaded to the housing and has .047" (1.2mm) of spring play when
installed in my magazine. That is plenty to accommodate a .1mm or .4mm
filter thickness and it will be .080" (2mm) in front of the film platen.
That will move the film plane back a little, but you need to extent the
focus distance for IR anyway. For the 70mm magazine I haven't figured out
anything better than Don's idea. The only other Idea I had there was to
modify a dark slide, but I think the filter would get scratched when being
inserted and removed. If I can find an extra dark slide, I might try it to
see, or I might just make it from scratch. The dark slide is .013" (.3mm)
thick, so a .1mm filter would fit, but a .4mm might be too thick.
