The only way to know is to try it for yourself as it varies not only from
model to model but camera to camera  I've got a buddy who has an EOS Elan
II that fogs similarly to the sample on the web-page referenced below...
just on the sproket holes.  My Elan II fogs almost halfway into the actual
frame.  I've heard the same type of things about the A2. 

The only way to know is to try... I guess the proper warning is YMMV.
