RE: HIE in small cameras
Steve,
The DX coded labels are available from Porter's Camera in Iowa. You can get
set ISO values (100, 200, etc.) or you can get a "fill in the blanks" and
code your own EI's.
A problem I've had w/point 'n shoot & HIE it focus... they want to use auto
and subsequently the results aren't what I was looking for. Alternatively, I
bought an old Olympus rangefinder, so I can set the ISO and the focus
compensation. No problems since then and the 40/1.7 fixed lens is plenty
sharp and wide enough to forgive focus errors.
Works for me.
Good luck,
Tim
