I never had any problems, until I developed the last batch in XTOL 1+1.
I've used D-76 1:1 with HIE for years.

The spots are quite large (no 'pinholes') with a soft border.
My first idea was "air bubbles" but I'm not sure as I always try to
disloge them after pouring in the developer. I will probably put some
samples on the web as soon as I've time to print and scan them ...

The only time I got similar results was with TMZ (T-MAX 3200) in T-MAX
developer.

Really?! I'm thinking about doing a presoak to avoid air bubbles (if
they are the real cause of the problem).

Haven't tried this yet but ...

... always doing this.

BTW: The negatives look quite thin using the recommended development
time for the 0.58 gamma. Hmmm, maybe I should stick to good old D-76 ...
