Kodak did indeed revise their processing times - from 12 min at 68F to
11 min. to the new recommended 8.5 min.!! The person I talked to
recently at Kodak advised that people were complaining that densities
were too thick/contrast too high and that is what prompted Kodak to
back off on the times. Remember that these times are only suggested
     starting points.

My students and I process about 60 rolls per semester in our lab using
small tanks. I am recommending at least 30-60 sec increase over the
8.5 min starting point for something approaching printable densities
with that desirable IR glow. The negs have looked thin and flat at
     8.5 min.
