Well I think Ilford also recommends the tray siphon. Most of the conjecture
about Wilhelm's methods come from the manufacturers of products he gave a poor
archival rating too...no need to mention whom that is again on the list.

Back to the original post-you should look into using the Ilford archival print
procesing sequence. It involves using a 30 fix at film strength and a much
shorter wash time-5 or 10 minutes. It has been rigorously tested and there is
little no conjecture I know of regarding its effectiveness.
