It might pay to create some hand-out material, to be distributed in 
the audience *before* the presentation, with these elements:

a) main structure of presentation (+personal bio/references if you like)
b) a short reference bibliography (print/Internet) 

optional: 
c) a few simple plots of spectrum/sensitivity/transmission 
(light/film/filter)
