Hi all :)

I also seem to have missed the start of this thread!

If your talking about measuring IR with a meter spefically sensitive to
IR I have been playing around with a TI IR sensitive photo transistor
for a little while. The component number is TSL260 and its spectral
response is 800 to 1100nm with max at 900nm. It has a built-in op amp so
seems good for this application. I have just bought a couple more rolls
of HIE so I'm just about to shot off some more test shots.
