As an avowed Acufine-freak, I haven't tried D-76 since I discovered Acufine 
over 30 years ago.  If anyone wants to try my way with Konica, I shoot it at 
ASA 50, but meter it through the #87 filter with my trusty, old Gossen 
Lunasix.  I develop the film in Acufine, 7 minutes at 68 deg. F, using 
Acufine's recommended agitation.  Works for me.
