That's good to know. I try to keep my HIE camera (OM-2) out of the
sun when it's sitting in my car, but it's good to know that the film
might be able to stand the stress of heat if worst comes to worst
(or is it "worse comes to worse"?).
However, we should take a station break to remind everyone on the list
that although it's a great idea to store film in the fridge for extended
periods of time, it is not necessary, even for HIE film. I've had HIE
film at room temperature for eight weeks with no problems. I've heard
of other people on this list who said it can last a year. I also seem
to remember that Laurie White's book claims that refridgeration is
not necessary, either. It's good to know that I don't need to pack
blue ice with me across the world.
