Don't know if someone mentioned this already, but a polarizer is a must, at
least for outdoor shots.  My shots with the polarizer show white, puffy
clouds with intense blue (yellow filter) or bright green (orange filter)
skies.  I would suggest trying both filters with a polarizer for a given
scene to see which you prefer.
