The camera that they show them using is not neccessarily the camera they
used to shoot the "B&W" footage. Anyway it probably was a film camera. I
have seen the movie since I wrote the last message, and if we're thinking
of the same scenes, it looks to me like the tree leaves were simply lit
from overhead by the sunlight, making them appear brighter than usual. They
may have also used a green filter to emphasize it even more.
