I had a similar question regarding my antique chrome "C" lenses, and wrote to 
Hasselblad in New Jersey.  They sent me copies of some older charts from VH 
in Sweden that show just how to do it, and where to put the dot of red paint 
on the lens barrel.  Of course, being a retired engineer, I have TWO dots on 
each lens, corresponding to the transmission characteristics of the R72 and 
the #87 filters.  I'm sure Hasselblad'll have charts for your lenses, too.
