I checked out the site that Zman posted below, and discovered this
comment:
"Since shooting IR is VERY different from shooting normal neg,
definitely shoot tests. Also be aware that the temperature of the
film can (and will) change exposure! Leaving a camera with IR film
loaded in the sun will dramatically change what you are getting."
Any truth to this? I ride a motorcycle - and often carry an old FG
loaded with HIE in my saddle bag. Living in Florida, the bags get HOT
HOT HOT. I never have problems with the film base being fogged, but I
wonder now if some of the drastic exposure variances I get could be due
to the above quote. I have never seen anything about this mentioned on
any of the "regular's" websites.
If I were to guess, I would say that this is just a "wive's tale", but
thought it might be worth bringing up......
