Well, the graininess is a characteristic of the film, so you will be
working
against its inherent properties.  I would highly recommend going to Konica
if grain really is a problem.

That said, you wouldn't want to pull the film, as that will increase the
"graininess".  You want to push it to reduce the appearance of grain.
I've shot HIE between EI 50 and EI 1000 and recommend this to everyone
considering the film.  That way, you will better understand the
capabilities of this versitle film.

Shoot at EI 50, 100, 250, 500 and
1000, develop accordingly, and print a set of each image.  This'll take a
good weekend, but you'll be able to match what you are looking for with
the prints you have made.

If you normally shoot at EI 250 (as I do, when metered through a #25
filter), try pushing it one and two stops.  Remember to increase your
development, as you will lose critical shadow detail when you do this.
