Dear Leonard,

The reason I subscribed to the IR List was for the same reason. There has
been much discussion about tiny pinholes here.

The bottom line is that Kodak has admitted to me that their IR film,
particularly HSI has an emulsion coating problem that causes the pinholes.
The septums in your Grafmatic have nothing to do with it, unless they are
dusty. (I use 4x5 Grafmatics myself.)

I disagree with Clark, "the Thief". I think ALL HSI emulsion numbers have
pinholes - even the box Kodak sent me - 713 1. What I find is that some
sheets are worse than others, but never a whole "good" box. And Kodak has
limited production runs, so there are not a lot of emulsion numbers out
there.
