I would,Pat, if it's not exhorbitantly expensive or terribly difficult to 
build.  My personal preference is something that reads handheld rather than 
off the ground glass, though of course if it could do both, that would be 
fantastic.

One thing I didn't mention about the meter I have is that the sensor only 
picks up IR.  HSI, of course, has a funny curve with a spike at the red end 
of the visible spectrum.  This doesn't seem to gum up the meter I have too 
much for daylight shooting, though.  I suppose the visible light is probably 
fairly consistent with the IR in most daylight conditions. . .
