ello mates !

I tested my camera (a Nikon F90X) today with the 2 filters. I don't
know what to think from the results I got. AF was turned off.

Manual Exposure, Matrix Metering w/o filter

1/640 f22

Manual Exposure, Matrix Metering with R25A

1/125 f22

( filter factor: presumably: 2 1/3 stops from reading w/o filter)

Manual Exposure, Matrix Metering with R27

1/6 -1/8 (needle kept jumping between these 2) f22

( filter factor: presumably: 6 2/3 to 6 1/3 stops from reading w/o
filter )

Aperture priority, Matrix Metering w/o filter

1/640 f22

Aperture priority, Matrix Metering with R25a

1/125 f22

Aperture priority, Matrix Metering with R27

1/8 f22

Looking at the results which at least make sense, since in my
experience, R25A does have a factor of 2 1/3 stops.

However I'm concerned about the R27.Supposedly leaving only
1/64 ( 2x2x2x2x2x2= 64 ) of the original light intensity from the 6
1/3- 6 2/3 stop figure I arrived at, I guess I could almost believe this
is the right filter factor. But I would still like to ask everyone what
they think the factor is ?

Yours truthfully,
ket

P.S. the only reason why I'm being such a bother to you folk is
cuz, the F90X & the Minolta 4F are just recently bought and I'm
still trying to get a feeling of how my gear works. I want to be able
to know exactly how my equipments metering works w/o burning
too many rolls ;)

it's a big upgrade from my previous Nikon F601, & I had that beasts
unreliable metering down to pat. This is my 1st roll with the F90X
which is why I want to relearn everything the right way. Plus i shot
infra red before I came to the list, bug mistake, should have come
here to you learned lads first.

Thanks WJ ;)
