It depends a lot on how busy the negative is and what exposure
and filters you use.  I've never seen serious dimples when I use
a red filter, 25 or 29, but with an 87 or 87C, some of my
negatives had dimple patterns that can be seen holding the
negative at arm's length, no loupe required.  

Taping backing paper over the backing plate of my OM-1
eliminated the problem.
