Are you talking about HSI or HIE? I rotary process my 4X5 film and get excellent results
with HSI by using Rodinal. Whereas this developer will give you grain the size of Jupiter
when used with HIE, it allows for a high degree of accutance with HSI.
Obviously, we may shoot quite differently and expect differing results, but I've found
that for HSI shot at EI 250 when metered through a #25 filter, Rodinal 1+50 70F 9 minutes
works well for me as a starting point.
