Note that while #87C comes in a 0.4mm sturdy quality, the slightly
lighter #87 can be had in 0.1mm, same thickness as gelatine.
This might allow it being squeezed inbetween two otherwise mating
surfaces (and if nothing else, compensate for IR-focus....:-)).
(at 0.25% of focal length, this would be on spot for a 40mm lens....;-))

with a #87C) Jan
PS: did anyone know that Linhof made such an IR-focus spacing-plate
for their 6x7 Aerotechnica? Lovely engineering....:-))
