Subject: Questions about developing tanks

    Hi people,
I'm new to developing IR film and I'm mostly working with HIE.
But it's costing me a fortune to develop it, so I want to have a go at
it by myself. My main concern though is light leaks, either in the
changing bag or in the developing tank. Could you recommend some brands
that are definitely IR-proof?

Thanks,
Giorgos Christou

I had light leaks until I bought a new changing bag. (They do develop light leaks from age and decay of the coating.) Anyway, many's the time I have plopped myself down in the sunshine and changed IR film in it with no fogging problem. Gotta remember to bring the IR cannister in the bag. My little bag has no brand ID, except "made in Taiwan." It's double-zippered, coated on the inside with something like rubber, and it was under $20 I believe.  Diane Syme
