Please fill in this bio:
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
- Name: Chris(tina) Z. Anderson

- Profession/Study: Painter/photographer, finishing up 2 degrees in such at Montana State University this semester
- Country: USA
- Personal history of photography: Came to photography in fall 1996--required course for my painting major. Fell in love with it, read every book on it I could, have had 4 solo shows of my work, specialize in hand colored black and white imagery and gum printing and any way I can combine painting/photography/quiltmaking; also polaroid transfers and much digital work
- Preferred subjects: conceptual, usually. Studio work, people, hubcaps, coffee, rarely landscapes, mostly closer and clear/bold compositions. Multiple exposure, blur, the interaction between photog and painting
- Materials (film, filters, paper, chemistry): a lot of Ilford MGIV matte for hand coloring, Kodak HIE with 25 filter, TMAX 100, very unknowledgeable about chemistry
- Format (35mm/medium format/large format): prefer 4x5, then Mamiya 7II, then Hasselblad, least 35mm
- Other strange hobbies: quilter, cooking, cigars in the summer (not a la Monica), coffee, research, travel, downhill skiing, mountain biking, hiking, biblical research
- How did you find out about this list: some nice person on the alt-photo informed me of it that I needed to check out the archives on a particular infrared photographer to set my record straight. It's thrilling to know that this list exists, actually, as I love infrared besides.
- Expand on anything photographic you like:
next topic I will delve into, after a HUGE last semester dealing with 16 credits centered on the contemporary use of the female form in art, is the connection between math, symmetry, nature, design, and whether design is inherent in humans. I really need to start (gulp) understanding photo chemistry and perfecting that area of my work
That's it! Chris
