The Nikon 950 produces an uncompressed tiff of 5.5 MB with dimensions of
1600x1200 pixels, which is approx. 22.2 x 16.7 inches @ 72 ppi screen
resolution. If you were to make an 11x14 inch print, without resampling,
the resolution would only be about 114 ppi and the print quality would be
quite poor. You can make quite nice smaller prints (up to 8x6 inches at 200
ppi) without resampling and marginally acceptable larger prints by resamplng
the image up to a resolution of at least 200 ppi for printing to a photo
quality inkjet.
