I've been trying to print both infrared and regular black and white with my
epson 1200 and I cant seem to get good blacks. They always seem to come out
with a puke green tint to it. Anybody got any suggestions? that new ink from
ilford sounds interesting. Cant wait to try it!! Thanks

Hello.
Are you printing grayscale files from Photoshop? If so you should try converting them to DUOTONE format. That way you can specify the precise tone and colors of the inks for a monochrome image. Grayscale always looks terrible on ink jets. I was knocking my against the wall doing this one day when an old fellow came up and introduced me to the duotone process. He had been an old printing press man for decades. Remember this with digital files: you are now dealing with ink for output and not silver halide. It's very tough to get the same kind of black density out of ink.
