MIS makes archival inks for ink-jet printers. They make a special set for 
printing only black & White images. It's like the "quadtone" inkset only for 
six ink printers. The only problem is that you must dedicate a machine to 
just b&w printing, because its a major hassle to switch back & forth between 
color and b&w. It shouldn't be too much of a problem though, when you 
dedicate a printer to each type of print. As I said I'm thrilled with the 
quality, and I'm a tough critic! Take a look at their site at
