It is strange I email all over the world.I am in outher groups and I have never had a complaint from them or the many personal commumications I have email all over the world. The iopener is made for
email and web. I am sending this to Netpliance to see what they say.
Why the first person who started all this sent me a email and told me he found the problem was on his site ?
                                                                                                                                                                                            I am sorry
that this causes so much problems to the infrared group. If you and the group would like I will cancel my subscription. Please let me know James Romeo

But your lines *are* too long, whether you can change settings or
not. And you *are* using a computer....there's more than just PC's &
workstations....;-))
And if that causes problems with other mailers (mine has optional
line-wrap when reading, but not when replying (Pegasus/WinPmail)),
then the program you use is buggy. Plain and simple.
Whether it's a significant problem is another case, but I have seen
mails in the past with such long lines that it a) crashed my
news-editor, and b) caused missing letters after I wrapped it.

We don't accept the buggy HTML-coding from Microsoft & Co in email
either (I just updated the Majordomo-settings btw, neither HTML nor
subject-headers with 'Infrared-Digest V #xxx' will pass to the list
from now on).

I won't force you to use a different mailclient, but fact remains
that it simply does not comply with Netiquette....it might be great,
but definately not perfect, and the mistake is *not* with other
people.
Sorry to be so harsh, not every gimmick is a blessing to the
Net....;-))
