tiny streaks in EIR
- From: "Barry B. Bean" <bbbean@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

I've had two rolls of EIR returned with tiny red streaks and spots
on several exposures. The streaks are always running lengthwise with
the film, and are always a similar red to the Green/red IR shift.
They primarily show up in underexposed frames, and may possibly be in
normal or over exposed frames, but simply not be noticeable. I've
been storing my EIR in the freezer, giving appropriate thaw times,
shooting in a recently serviced OM-1n (that shows no problems with
other films), and having it developed and mounted by a pro lab in
Memphis that is familiar with EIR (they saved me from ruining my
first roll) and HIE.
Is this problem related to the infamous pin prick problems LF users
were having with their IR emulsions, or is there a simpler answer?
