Stan -

I'm not entirely certain what you are saying.  You are complaining that Kodak
is making a flawed product, then turning around and complaining that they are
discontinuing due to lack of interest.

Kodak is a business, and as a business they need to make money.  They have made
HSI despite losing money on it, and finally had to make the business decision
that the product had to go.  Unfortunately, these companies cannot exist
entirely to support the particular niche that we enjoy.

I am as upset as anyone else concerning the discontinuation of the product, as
I too have shot hundreds of sheets of the filem.  I am glad to hear that Kodak
will at least be able to supply me with a large order before the end of the
year.  But life goes on, and we must understand that being a niche of a niche
(monochrome infrared), we will not be at the top of the pecking order when
product decisions are made.
