That's just what a terrorist might try, too... ;-) I wouldn't do
anything that may cause suspicions and attract their attention...

Different people, different opinions... A case the x-ray-machine can't
see through will cause at least some modern machines to fire stronger
and stronger beams until they CAN see through...
Maybe it's still the best method, to take your films with you (together
with your cabin luggage) without any further special precautions. At
least this worked well for me.
BTW, I doubt whether IR films really are more likely to get fogged by
x-ray machines than normal films. AFAIK - please correct me if I'm wrong
- x-rays have way shorter wavelenghts than ultraviolet light. They are
not on the "IR" part of the electro magnetic spectrum, but on the other
side. Konica IR isn't sensitive in the UV spectrum at all, and HIE's
sensitivity in this region is similar to that of other bw or colour
films. So maybe higly sensitive films like Delta 3200 are much more
endangered than IR films?
