70mm: paper leader & subdued light loading?

As I was fumbling in the dark last night, threading film in
my Mamiya's 70mm back, I wondered if anyone on the list has
tried putting black backing paper leader and trailer on 70mm
aerographic IR in cassettes, allowing subdued-light loading.

If backing paper is good enough to keep cut-down rollfilm
from fogging, shouldn't it be good enough to keep film
inside a 70mm cassette from fogging, too? Obviously I'd
need something wider than 120 backing paper, but I expect
it will be easy enough to cut down 8.5x14 inch paper to
make 14-inch leaders, or 11x17 inch paper for 17 inch
leaders for more fog-resistance.

Has anyone tried this?
