Introduction

Hi all!

I'm Sriram and I live in Singapore. I've only been shooting for a year
now, and discovered HIE about 4 months back. These days, I mainly
shoot B&W and the occasional roll of Velvia or Provia-F.

After trying hard to find a decent lab to process HIE with little
success, I gave in and put together a darkroom in the spare bedroom
(much to my wife's dismay). Wow, I never knew how much control one
could have over the complete B&W process till then.

For processing HIE, I usually use D-76 (stock, 1:1) or
Aculux-2. Rodinal was terrific on TechPan and APX-25, and gave me
great golf ball sized grain on HIE! Interesting look though. I print
on Agfa Classic FB matt paper for a warm look and Forte FB paper for
brilliant whites and tone them in sepia/selenium.

Equipment for IR - Canon EOS 630, 24mm f/2.8, 50mm f/1.8, 100mm f/2.8,
and 28-105 zoom. Hoya 25A red and R72 IR filters. Cheap $14 changing
bag which is surprisingly IR safe.
