Always an option and thank you for pointing out the availability.

This #2424 film is as you suggest potentially useful for chopping up into
4x5 sheets. The film is however manufactured on a very thin film base and
would be a difficult load into a 4x5 holder. More important is the effect
of the thin film base on later use of the 4x5 negative in an enlarger. It
would probably need to be used in a glass holder with the attendant
problems of dust etc. in order to keep the film flat for enlarging.

Stan Patz has tested a similar Kodak infrared film base in 4x5 sizes and
perhaps he would like to comment.  There are related postings in the list
