Well lets look at a real world example:
B&H's price for Mamiya RB 100-200mm f/5.2 zoom lens =$3700
Hong Kong Mamiya Dealers Price for same lens above  =$1600

Are you trying to tell me that you are willing to pay over $2000 for a one 
year manufacturers warranty? Why don't you just get an extended service 
contract from a reliable 3rd party Repair Shop like MACK camera in New 
Jersey for a hundred bucks or so. Contrary to what Mamiya America wants you 
to believe, there are many reliable repair shops that can service Mamiya 
equipment in the USA. If you do the math, buying from overseas is always a 
better deal, even if in the rare instance you buy a lemon and need to get it 
fixed.
