IR shots with coolpix 990

A friend of mine just bought a coolpix 990.
The first thing we tried was putting a R72 filter in front of the lens and
looking at the LCD for the infrared effect.
Unfortunately there was NO infrared effect visible :-( while my coolpix 950
showed a beautiful one.

I just wanted to let you know this, all I knew 'til now was just reading
about this, but now I tried it myself....

Regards

Robert
