Dark room equipment help...

Hello all,

Is it really necessary to use the large 24"x 48"x 5" black plastic sink I
have been hording for final construction of my dark room?  Or can I get by
using a standard size and improvise.  The problem is space, it will take
alot of it considering the small size of the room.  My hope is I can get by
with a standard size.  I will have ample counter top space if I don't put
the big sink in.  Any thoughts on minimizing space in dark room construction
would be greatly appreciated.
