RE: Selling on the Net

Hi,

I've been showing my work in a personal gallery online since 1995, with a
steady increase in income from on-line. The problem with on-line sales is
that while they happen, they are inconsistent - one month, nothing, another,
as much as 4x my regular income might be sold through the site. Last summer,
I funded a ten day expedition to the other side of Canada, complete with a
model, through advance sales on-line. This summer, a two week expedition to
Boston is being paid for through internet sales.

Should you quite your day-job, certainly not. Will the sales pour in? Doubt
it. Will be start to sell, and see an steady increase of interest in your
work? I would say, if you work is good, and you are passionate, yes, without
a doubt.

If you are on-line to make money, you will be disappointed. If you are
on-line to share your work, and don't mind selling to patrons, you will be
pleased.

Best of luck,

e.
