| What about mimicing color IR with a digital camera?
Have a look at http://www.atsf.co.uk/ilight/tech/colmap.html which
uses a PC7 to generate RGB and IR images of a scene and then shows
how they can be combined, including a simulation of colour infrared
film. In this case I used a video camera simply because I don't have
a still one (as yet) but the same principle can be applied as long as
the scene is static and the camera is fixed (eg on a tripod). The
rest, as they say, is Photoshop.
In theory I would assume a camera manufacturer could make an RGBI
camera which can then be used to produce composite images as desired:
very useful for forensic work. Does anyone know if this has been done
and if so, by whom?
Cheers
Andy
